2021 IBC low frequency signaling requirements in multi-occupant residential R-1 (hotels) and R2 (apartments) occupancies.  120VAC smoke alarms are no longer a viable design option in sleeping units.  This new code is currently enforced in NJ & DE, next year in PA.
